Market Pavilion Hotel

Wife and I had the best stay here! Comfortable classic and just perfect. First class accommodations, better than any hotel in SC in my experience. We will be back on a regular basis for special occasions or just a getaway! We loved it.

Pros; kind and accommodating front desk staff, great martini bar, efficient valet service. Amazing location with a beautiful rooftop bar, seating and pool (not heated) area. Hot coffee, tea and fruit are available all day, with pastries in the morning and cookies in the afternoon. Cons; if you're a light sleeper, every time the other person in the king size bed rolls over it feels like five little kids jumping on the mattress. We asked for a rollaway bed - they don't have any. If you'd like to open the windows, that is not possible. Don't know if windows open in the balcony rooms that face the front. All rooms are the same cost, which makes no sense as the views are vastly different.

Great hotel! Right in the downtown area. Beautiful views. Staff was very friendly. Food was a little slower than I am used to but the staff was always great. Clean. Will be staying here every time we visit until we find our permanent spot.

We spent our anniversary at Market Pavilion and couldn’t be happier. Theresan welcomed us at the front desk, made us feel very special and even brought us chocolate covered strawberries later that afternoon. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and located in walking distance to all of our favorite spots. We will definitely stay here again when we are in town.

We have been visiting Market Pavilion Hotel for many years but this is the first time we have stayed for a long weekend. Our trip was first class. The restaurant in the main lobby 225 is above and beyond as is the lounge bar, be sure to have Clark make you a great martini or Nitrotini or pour you a great glass of wine. If you’d like a beautiful view of the Ravenal Bridge and the city the Pavilion rooftop bar is the place to be. We so enjoyed a relaxing weekend and you can’t beat the location. We will be back!

Love this place!! Would give it 6 stars. It was the little things - off the charts great service and thoughtful and well played. I’m a coffee drinker…they have an awesome coffee setup beginning 7:00 am and all day on every floor by the elevator! Mornings have danish and pastries and evenings cookies. Fresh fruit 24/7! This I loved! When I checked in they asked what time I want my room made up and what time I wanted turn down service and delivered! Fresh water bottles daily, turn down service with these neat lemony short bread cookies (very good!) and robe and slippers neatly laid out. They did everything well! Also, rooms were spotless and in good shape though nothing fancy or huge. Nice bathroom abd hvac worked well. Amazing location! Rooftop bar is super nice! Employers were cheerful, helpful and professional. Just a great spot all around!

We were impressed with the Market Pavilion hotel. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. We did call a few days prior to request a street view room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Charleston was very hot during our stay and the rooftop pool was almost perfect. The pool was the perfect temperature and it wasn’t too crowded. The only thing that was missing was umbrellas for the lounge chairs. The high top tables did have umbrellas. There was pastries and coffee in the hallway near the elevators. We stayed for 2 nights and overall our time was very pleasant. The hotel looks like it’s very historical but it’s only 20 or so years old.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The Market Pavilion Hotel in Charleston was flawless from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of everything. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully kept, with every detail dialed in. Between the cleanliness, comfort, and perfect downtown setting, this place nailed it. And don't miss the rooftop pool and bar! Five stars all the way.
